Our committee consists of voluntary industry professionals and community experts who are dedicated to making a sustainable and long lasting change in our community.
Lee is married to Catherine and is a proud dad to daughter Sophie. Lee has 10 years’ experience working in the Finance industry within marketing, data analytics and product development at a senior level. He is passionate about the impact Resilience Matters will have within the local community both professionally and personally.
Jeralie is the Managing Director of Rowlands Recruitment and mum to daughter Phoebe and son Zac. She’s experienced the value of resilience both professionally and personally and is passionate about supporting young people’s mental health and developing practical skills for the workplace.
Paul is retired, has been married to Lynn for over 30 years and has three children. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and spent the majority of his career working for large firms of accountants in Audit, Corporate Finance and Forensic Accounting within the UK, Bermuda and Jersey. Paul was also previously the treasurer of the Jersey Child Care Trust, a position he held for over 12 years. During his career Paul has seen a significant amount of change within the firms he has worked for and appreciates the importance and the positive impact resilience will have in the local community.
Claudia is a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Rowlands Recruitment. She’s a keen traveller, brilliant organiser and passionate about giving people the skills to better manage their mental health.
Lisa is a mum to two sons and has over 12 years’ experience in the Finance Industry up to and including Director level. She’s passionate about developing a more resilient community in which people have the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Derek is a dad to two grown up children. He is an Independent Management Consultant working in the Health & Social Care Sector and a former CEO of a major Jersey Charity. He believes there are significant benefits to be gained by wider development of resilience and that the work Resilience Matters does will make a difference not just for individuals and families but for society overall.
Fiona Vacher is married to Mike and has 2 children. She is the Executive Director of the Jersey Child Care Trust, and has a professional background in Early Years Education and Children’s Services. Fiona is very keen to see resilience workshops being available to all in Jersey particularly as she continues to hear from parents and Childcare Managers about the difference its made.
Penny is a proud mother of 2 teenage children, Oscar and Bonita and has been married for nearly 18 years. Penny’s is the Head of Skills Development within States of Jersey Education and has worked with children from Early Years right through to Adulthood in both the private and public sector. She is passionate about bringing a focus to developing resilience within young people in order for them to better cope with life’s challenges, not be afraid to seek new opportunities and be happy to celebrate success.
